Bio
Bio:
My name is Seda Sevada Grigorian, and I was born into a family of artists and educators. I earned my B.A. in Art History from California State University, Northridge, and my M.A. in Humanities, and I have dedicated over two decades to teaching art and art history in schools, museums, and community programs.
I have taught programs at the Norton Simon Museum and LACMA, and I have curated exhibits for galleries. I also taught for many years in Pasadena Unified School District and as a contracted art educator for San Gabriel Unified School District, where I curated and led “Art Nights” and other student exhibitions. In addition, I have trained educators on how to incorporate art into their curriculum, helping them see how creativity can deepen learning across all subjects. My classes, Art Through the Ages, weave together hands-on projects with art history, because I believe that understanding the history of art is an essential part of creating it.
Beyond the classroom, I am the proud mother of three college students—Enzo (22), Dante (20), and Maya (18)—all pursuing careers in the arts through theater, filmmaking, and art history. My greatest joy as a teacher and parent is inspiring young people to explore their imagination while connecting to the beauty and stories of the past.
