Dear Parents and Students;

I hope you have had a wonderful summer!   I am excited to be a part of our second year of Junior High Spanish at Holy Angels.   Our goal is to introduce Spanish to students in an engaging and fun way.  Students will be listening to stories and music, playing games, singing, role-playing, praying, conversing, reading, writing and even doing a little art . . . all in Spanish!  This year, we will also be adding workbooks to our junior high curriculum. Students will begin the first trimester by reviewing vocabulary, grammar and prayers from last year before adding more high frequency vocabulary and grammar, pertinent to level 1 Spanish.  It will be a fun year of learning!  ¡Será un año de apredizaje bien divertido!

I would like students to have the following materials by the third week of school (we begin Spanish classes the second week):

    - a pocket folder or a section of a 3 - ring binder, labeled “Spanish”  (to store notes,
       handouts, assessments, etc.)
    - a plastic pencil pouch or quart or gallon size ziplock bag (to store vocabulary cards)
    - notecards, about 20 (students will later be cutting cards into 1/3 size cards)
